Prajwal Revanna
Nearly a month after fleeing the country, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna announced that he will appear before a special investigation team (SIT) probing the sexual harassment case against him at 10 am on May 31. In a video statement, he expressed his depression and apologized to his grandfather, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.
Prajwal Revanna clarified his whereabouts in the video, explaining that after the Lok Sabha polls concluded, various cases were filed against him, leading to the formation of the SIT. He emphasized that his foreign trip was pre-planned and unrelated to these cases. “I only learned about the SIT notice through my advocate,” he stated.
Revanna disclosed that he became depressed after Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, launched attacks and spread rumors against him. “A political conspiracy is underway to end my career, but I will face it,” he asserted.
He confirmed his commitment to cooperating with the investigation. “I will attend the SIT probe in Bengaluru at 10 am on May 31 and provide my full cooperation. I have complete faith in the judicial system and will prove my innocence,” he said.
Additionally, he apologized to JDS chief and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and his uncle Kumaraswamy.

Last week, HD Deve Gowda issued a stern warning to Prajwal, demanding he surrender to the police. “I am not making an appeal; I am issuing a warning for Prajwal to return and subject himself to the legal process,” Gowda declared.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also took action, writing to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to suspend Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport and facilitate his return to India.
