PM’s GST Relief Is A Festive Bonus For Citizens: Dr Dinesh Sharma

At the 22nd Annual Celebration ‘Nayi Umang’ of MK Group Global Education, Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr Dinesh Sharma, addressed a large gathering as the chief guest at the youth conference.

In his inspiring speech, Dr Sharma stated, “Education is the greatest weapon that can empower society, the nation, and humanity as a whole.”

He praised the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, calling it a visionary initiative of the central government that integrates sports, science, music, art and creativity as essential parts of learning.

Emphasising values and culture, Dr Sharma asserted, “Sanskar come from parents. We must always remember our roots, our soil, our language and our traditions. Our culture unites, like the grains of a ‘motichoor laddu’ that together create the taste of unity.”

NEP Shapes India’s Future

He added that one’s mindset should be Indian, not merely English. “We are the torchbearers of a tradition that spreads light and knowledge, not darkness. That is the difference between philosophy and mere showmanship,” he remarked.

Encouraging students, he said, “Adopt good qualities and always respect women, that is the truest form of culture.”

“Our civilisation and heritage are unmatched; they define who we are and give us strength,” he added.

Dr Sharma urged parents to spend quality time with their children and communicate with affection.

Speaking about Viksit Bharat 2047, he noted, “The NEP is the strongest foundation for India’s development roadmap. Promoting indigenous products and consumption is true respect for our nation. The GST relief announced by the Prime Minister is indeed a festive bonus for citizens before Diwali.”

Addressing thousands in attendance, Dr Sharma said, “You belong to the land of the brave. Respect for elders is the key to progress. Our families thrive on shared warmth and values. Elders must continue telling stories of Rajasthan’s valour to the younger generations.”

He also emphasised holistic learning, saying children should not become ‘bookworms’ but must be encouraged to play, experience culture and engage with society.

Highlighting the success of Uttar Pradesh’s Abhyudaya Coaching Yojana, he said, “If government-supported training is provided for board and competitive exams, coaching institutes won’t be necessary. Retired experts can contribute through voluntary teaching.”

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Vipra Foundation’s Pawan Parikh.

Senior leader Bhavani Singh Rathore, O P Mishra, Manish Dhaka and Mahavir Dhaka, along with officials from the education department and district administration, also attended.
