Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that India has grown significantly since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014. He noted that the country had only a few startups at that time, while today, it boasts 1,40,000 startups. Pradhan made these comments during the IIT BHU convocation ceremony, highlighting the establishment of the National Research Foundation, which Modi presides over.
During a media interaction, Pradhan emphasized the importance of promoting research at every level across the nation. He asserted that this focus is crucial for achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. He referenced Modi’s recent address on ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ where the Prime Minister urged citizens to be vigilant about the concept of ‘digital arrest.’
Pradhan noted that as India emerges as a global digital superpower, new challenges arise. He stressed the need for in-depth study to tackle these emerging issues. Modi’s mantra of ‘Wait-Think-Take Action’ aims to guide people in avoiding cyber fraud. Pradhan reassured the public not to panic in response to suspicious calls, reminding them that legitimate investigations do not occur via phone or video calls.
