PM Narendra Modi To Address Multiple Rallies In West Bengal; Amit Shah To Join Campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a series of election rallies across West Bengal on Thursday. He will step up the campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state.

PM Modi will begin the day in Haldia, located in the East Midnapore district. He will then travel to Asansol. Later, the Prime Minister will head to Suri in Birbhum district, where he is scheduled to address consecutive public meetings.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also expected to join the campaign, arriving in Kolkata later in the day. While no public events are planned immediately upon his arrival, he has a busy schedule lined up over the following two days.

On Friday, Shah is set to address a large gathering in the West Midnapore district, followed by a roadshow in Kharagpur. His campaign trail will continue on Saturday with public meetings in Bankura and Purulia districts.

The Prime Minister will continue his outreach in the state over the weekend as well, with three more rallies planned on Saturday in Murshidabad, East Burdwan and South Dinajpur districts. He is also scheduled to stay overnight in Siliguri on April 11 and take part in a roadshow there the following day.

PM Modi had launched his campaign in West Bengal earlier this month with a rally in Cooch Behar.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also holding multiple campaign events. She is scheduled to address five rallies on Thursday across areas in the North 24 Parganas district.

The Assembly elections in West Bengal will take place in two phases. The polling will be held on April 23 and April 29, covering all constituencies. Vote counting is set for May 4.
