PM Narendra Modi Projects 2025 Reforms As Launchpad For Viksit Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday framed 2025 as a decisive turning point in India’s reform journey, asserting that the year will accelerate economic momentum and place the nation firmly on course toward ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.

In a detailed post, PM Modi highlighted structural reforms already underway and linked readers to a comprehensive LinkedIn article outlining 13 sector-specific changes designed to reshape governance, growth and opportunity.

PM Narendra Modi described the reforms as outcome-driven and citizen-centric, arguing that they aim to simplify systems, reduce compliance burdens and unlock productivity across sectors.

He positioned the reform agenda as both economic and aspirational, linking near-term policy actions with India’s long-term development vision.

Tax Relief for Middle Class a Key Pillar

A key pillar of the reforms focuses on taxation. PM Modi highlighted the move toward zero income tax for individuals earning up to Rs 12 lakh, calling it a major relief for the middle class and a boost to consumption-led growth.

The measure, he said, reflects the government’s intent to reward honest taxpayers and strengthen disposable incomes.

Labour reforms form another cornerstone of the agenda.

The Prime Minister underlined the consolidation of 29 labour laws into four labour codes, aimed at ensuring fair wages, workplace safety and social security while improving ease of doing business.

The restructuring seeks to balance worker welfare with industrial flexibility, particularly benefiting emerging enterprises.

On trade and global integration, PM Narendra Modi pointed to new Free Trade Agreements with the UK, Oman and New Zealand as strategic tools to expand market access, attract investment and integrate Indian businesses into global value chains.

He said these agreements would reduce transaction costs and open fresh export opportunities, especially for MSMEs, which remain central to India’s employment and manufacturing ecosystem.

PM Narendra Modi emphasised that the reform package prioritises efficiency and scale.

By cutting red tape and modernising regulations, the government aims to lower compliance costs and create a predictable policy environment that encourages entrepreneurship and long-term investment.
