PM Narendra Modi Expresses Concern As Asha Bhosle Hospitalised In Mumbai

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep concern over the health of Asha Bhosle, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, PM Modi said he was deeply concerned and prayed for her good health and speedy recovery.

Doctors admitted the 92-year-old singer to Breach Candy Hospital after she reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. She is currently undergoing treatment in the Emergency Medical Services unit, according to hospital sources.

Dr Pratit Samdani confirmed the development, stating that the veteran singer is receiving medical care under close supervision at the hospital.

Zanai Bhosle said the singer was admitted due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. She added that treatment is ongoing and requested privacy for the family during this period.

In a message posted on Instagram, she expressed hope for a positive recovery and assured that she would share further updates at an appropriate time.

Widely regarded as one of India’s most versatile and enduring vocalists, Asha Bhosle has had a remarkable career spanning decades, contributing immensely to music and cinema across multiple languages. Her hospitalisation has triggered widespread concern, with fans, political leaders, and members of the film fraternity offering prayers and wishes for her swift recovery as doctors continue to monitor her condition closely.
