PM Narendra Modi Accuses TMC Of Using AI-Generated Videos Ahead Of Bengal Polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday accused the Trinamool Congress of reviving what he termed ‘unscrupulous tactics’ ahead of the West Bengal Assembly Elections. He alleged that the party had circulated fabricated and AI-generated videos to influence public opinion.

Addressing a rally in Jangipur, PM Modi referred to a recent video clip controversy involving former legislator Humayun Kabir.

The clip allegedly suggested a financial arrangement with the Bharatiya Janata Party to divide minority votes. However, the Prime Minister avoided naming Kabir directly.

Prime Minister Modi claimed that the ruling party anticipated electoral defeat and had therefore resorted to misinformation campaigns. He cautioned voters against being misled by such digital fabrications and urged them to participate actively in the democratic process.

The Prime Minister also asserted that the BJP would safeguard the identity of West Bengal. He stated that Hindu Bengalis would not be reduced to a minority under any circumstances.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for unity and emphasised that each vote would contribute to political change.

Additionally, PM Modi assured that a native Bengali leader would head the government if the BJP secured victory. He criticised the alleged role of illegal infiltration in influencing past electoral outcomes.

On economic assurances, the Prime Minister promised parity in Dearness Allowance for state employees with their central counterparts. He also indicated that benefits under the proposed 8th Pay Commission would extend to West Bengal upon a change in government.

The remarks underscore intensifying political rhetoric as the state moves closer to elections.
