PM Modi's Comprehensive review of HAL's manufacturing facility
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) site in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Saturday morning. During the visit, he will conduct a comprehensive review of the manufacturing facility, including the dedicated space for Tejas jets. This visit comes in the backdrop of the Indian Air Force’s recent issuance of a tender to HAL for the procurement of 12 advanced Su-30MKI fighter jets.
Defence sources have revealed that the HAL, a state-owned enterprise, is set to respond to the tender next month, providing intricate project details and other relevant information. The purchase of these Su-30MKI fighters is a collaborative effort between HAL and Russian original equipment manufacturers, aiming to bolster India’s air defense capabilities.
