PM Modi Witnesses Ram Lalla’s Surya Tilak Ceremony On Ram Navami

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday witnessed the Surya Tilak ceremony of Ram Lalla on the occasion of Ram Navami, observing the ritual on screen and offering prayers for the well-being of the nation. He described the moment as spiritually uplifting and reflective of India’s enduring traditions.

Marking the occasion, the Prime Minister extended his greetings and highlighted the timeless relevance of Lord Ram’s ideals, emphasising their role in guiding both the nation and humanity.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “My fellow countrymen across the nation, unlimited best wishes on the occasion of Ram Navami.”

“From the life of Maryada Purushottam, filled with sacrifice, austerity, and restraint, we draw inspiration to confront every situation with our full strength. His ideals will continue to guide not only the people of India but all of humanity for eternity,” the post read.

Prime Minister Modi further added, “My wish is that by the grace of Lord Ram, the welfare of all may be ensured, paving the way for the fulfilment of our resolve for a developed and self-reliant India.”

Significance of Ram Navami

Ram Navami marks the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and people across the country celebrate it with deep devotion.

The Surya Tilak ceremony, in which a precisely aligned beam of sunlight falls on the idol’s forehead, holds significant spiritual value and remains a major attraction at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The ritual draws large numbers of devotees eager to witness the spectacle.

The ceremony builds on the widespread attention it received in 2024 following the consecration of the temple, when the phenomenon captured national interest.

Lord Ram symbolises truth, duty, and righteousness, and his life as Maryada Purushottam continues to inspire values of discipline, sacrifice, and moral strength. His teachings encourage individuals to face challenges with courage and integrity, reinforcing their relevance across time and societies.

Festivals such as Ram Navami serve as a reminder of these ideals, inspiring millions to uphold ethical values and spiritual discipline.
