Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again topped the global ‘Democratic Leader Approval Ratings’, released by US-based intelligence firm Morning Consult.
With a 75 per cent approval rating, He remains the world’s most popular democratic leader.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung came second with 59 per cent approval, while US President Donald Trump, now in his second term, ranked eighth with 44 per cent support.
The data, collected between 4 and 10 July 2025, represents views from thousands of adults across several democratic nations.
Morning Consult uses a rolling seven-day average method to capture real-time sentiment on global leaders.
According to the survey, 75 per cent of global respondents approved of PM Narendra Modi, while only 18 per cent disapproved. Seven per cent were neutral or uncertain.
Experts credit his continued popularity to strong economic performance, active diplomacy, and social welfare initiatives.
President Lee Jae Myung, in office for just a month, has already earned notable public support in South Korea. Although 29 per cent disapproved, the early approval is seen as a strong mandate.
In another historic milestone, PM Narendra Modi on Friday became the second-longest serving Prime Minister in India’s history with 4,078 consecutive days in office. He surpassed former PM Indira Gandhi’s record of 4,077 days.
PM Modi, now 74, first assumed office on 26 May 2014. He has served for 11 years and 60 days till now, trailing only behind India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, in overall tenure.
PM Narendra Modi has consistently led the Morning Consult rankings since September 2021, with approval ratings ranging between 70 per cent and 76 per cent, unmatched among democratic leaders worldwide.
