Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar on April 24, with a key engagement at Madhubani where he will participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations at 11:45 AM.
PM Modi will present the National Panchayat Awards to recognise the best-performing Panchayats across the country.
During the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate to the nation various development projects worth over ₹13,480 crore.
These include infrastructure, power, rail, and rural development initiatives aimed at enhancing Bihar’s socio-economic landscape.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of an LPG bottling plant with a rail unloading facility at Hathua in Gopalganj, worth ₹340 crore.
PM Modi will also initiate power infrastructure projects worth ₹1,170 crore and inaugurate schemes under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme worth ₹5,030 crore.
PM Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express (Saharsa–Mumbai), Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Jaynagar–Patna), and other trains, and inaugurate several rail lines and overbridges to improve regional connectivity.
The Prime Minister will further distribute ₹930 crore to over 2 lakh SHGs under DAY-NRLM, hand over PMAY-Gramin sanction letters to 15 lakh new beneficiaries, and mark the Grih Pravesh of 1 lakh rural and 54,000 urban homes in Bihar.
