PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of Ravidas Temple, CM Shivraj Said – Saint Was Truly A Pioneer Of Social Harmony

On 12th of August, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the grand temple and monumental memorial of Sant Shiromani Ravidas in Badtuma, Sagar district, at a cost of 100 crore rupees. During this event, PM Modi will also address a public gathering. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan conducted an inspection of the construction site of Sant Ravidas Temple in Badtuma on Thursday evening and reviewed the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting scheduled to be held on August 12th in Dhana village.

During this visit, Chief Minister Chouhan was accompanied by cabinet ministers including Dr. Arvind Bhadoria, Minister for Lok Nirman, Gopal Bhargav, Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Bhupendra Singh, Revenue Minister Govind Singh Rajput, MLAs Shailendra Jain and Pradeep Laria, Deputy Chairman of the Mineral Development Corporation Rajendra Moklapur, Mayor Sangita Tewari, Gaurav Sirothia, Prabhu Dayal Patel, Lata Wankhede, Shailesh Kesharwani, Anil Tewari, and other public representatives.

Chief Minister Chouhan inspected the stage, helipad, and dome at the venue and obtained information about other facilities from officials. On this occasion, he stated that Sant Ravidas Maharaj had done unparalleled work for Indian culture and harmony. He emphasized the importance Sant Ravidas placed on hard work and how he devoted his earnings to serving society and the community. Many kings and Meera Bai were also his disciples. Sant Ravidas was truly a pioneer of social harmony.

He mentioned that in February this year, he had announced the plan to build a grand Sant Ravidas Temple in Sagar, which has now taken shape. Every citizen of Sagar district is fortunate that the foundation stone for the temple is being laid by global leader and successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 12th.

He also revealed that the temple will be built in the Nagara style and will cover 10,000 square feet. An interpretation museum will also be established, showcasing Sant Ravidas’s personality and contributions through culture and creativity. The museum will have four galleries dedicated to Bhakti Path, Contribution to Nirguna Sect, Life and Literary Works of Sant Ji, and an overview of harmony. Besides the library, there will be facilities like Sangat Hall, Water Pond, and Bhakt Niwas to provide spiritual amenities. The Bhakt Niwas will host devotees and scholars from India and abroad, offering them inspiration from Sant Ji’s life. The temple will feature two grand entrances, CCTV cameras, and lighting arrangements.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the temple and art gallery dedicated to Sant Ravidas Ji will be majestic and a symbol of devotion, faith, and spirituality. Philosophers, scholars, and enthusiasts from all over India and the world will be drawn to this place. Sant Ravidas Ji’s legacy and philosophy will serve as an inspirational source for the entire world. On this occasion, Regional Organiser Dr. Veerendra Singh Rawat, IG Pramod Varma, Collector Deepak Arya, Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Tiwari, and other officials were also present.
