Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several significant development projects in Delhi on January 5, 2025, with a total value of over Rs 12,200 crore. These initiatives will further boost regional connectivity and infrastructure. The events will begin with a special ride in the Namo Bharat Train.
At 11 AM, Prime Minister Modi will embark on a ride aboard the Namo Bharat Train from Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in Delhi’s regional connectivity.
Later, at around 12:15 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 13 km stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, worth approximately Rs 4,600 crore. This corridor, which stretches from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar, will be Delhi’s first Namo Bharat connectivity. It will significantly ease travel between Delhi and Meerut, benefiting millions of people by providing high-speed, comfortable travel, along with enhanced safety and reliability.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate a crucial 2.8 km stretch of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV between Janakpuri and Krishna Park, valued at Rs 1,200 crore. This will be the first stretch of Delhi Metro Phase-IV to inaugurate, enhancing connectivity in West Delhi. Localities such as Krishna Park, parts of Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri will particularly benefit from this development.

Key areas like Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli will see improved access to residential, commercial, and industrial zones. Once completed, this extension will facilitate seamless travel across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, integrating with the extended Red Line.
In another major development, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for a new, state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) at Rohini, New Delhi. With an investment of approximately Rs 185 crore, the new facility will provide cutting-edge healthcare and medicine infrastructure. The building will house multiple blocks, including the Administrative Block, OPD Block, IPD Block, and a dedicated Treatment Block, ensuring an integrated healthcare experience for both patients and researchers.
These projects reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and connectivity, improving healthcare facilities, and promoting regional development.
