PM Modi To Inaugurate India Mobile Congress 2025 In Delhi; Focus On 6G & AI

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 on Wednesday at 9:45 AM at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, Delhi.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) are jointly organising IMC 2025, Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology event.

They have scheduled the four-day event from October 8 to 11 under the theme ‘Innovate to Transform’, which underscores India’s ambition to lead global digital transformation and leverage innovation for societal and economic progress.

IMC 2025 will convene global leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to present cutting-edge advancements in telecom and emerging technologies.

The event will spotlight 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors, optical networks, and cybersecurity, reinforcing India’s commitment to strengthening its role in next-generation connectivity and digital resilience.

Over 400 companies, 7,000 international delegates, and 1.5 lakh visitors from more than 150 countries are expected to attend.

The exhibition will feature 1,600 technology use-cases, spanning 5G and 6G applications, artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cyber fraud prevention, quantum computing, and green technologies, showcasing India’s readiness for the future of digital ecosystems.

Platform for Global Collaboration

This year’s edition will host more than 100 sessions and 800 speakers from around the world, facilitating dialogue on policy frameworks, technological innovation, and cross-border partnerships.

Delegations from countries such as Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ireland, and Austria will participate, reflecting India’s expanding international collaborations in the field of technology and communications.

The IMC aims to reinforce India’s position as a global digital leader and highlight its contributions to emerging technology standards and sustainable innovation.

Ahead of the inauguration, Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M Scindia visited the venue on Monday to oversee final arrangements.

In a symbolic gesture promoting modern and sustainable urban mobility, the minister travelled to and from the venue via the Delhi Airport Metro.

Scindia emphasised that IMC 2025 will not only serve as a showcase of India’s technological achievements but also as a platform for global partnerships, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Through IMC 2025, India seeks to accelerate innovation, foster start-up growth, and strengthen its digital infrastructure.

Furthermore, the event aligns with the government’s broader mission to build a future-ready, inclusive, and secure digital economy, cementing India’s leadership in the global telecom and technology landscape.
