The Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025. The event, Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology gathering, will take place on 8 October at around 9:45 AM.
The event, jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), will take place from 8 to 11 October under the theme ‘Innovate to Transform’.
The chosen theme reflects India’s growing leadership in using innovation to drive digital progress and support both economic growth and societal development.
IMC 2025 will bring together top policymakers, industry pioneers, global experts and innovators to highlight the latest breakthroughs in telecommunications and emerging technologies.
The spotlight will be on 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors, optical networks, and cyber fraud prevention, underscoring India’s aim to strengthen its position in next-generation digital connectivity and security.
This year’s edition will likely see participation from over 400 companies, around 7,000 international delegates, and more than 1.5 lakh visitors representing over 150 countries.
More than 1,600 new technology use-cases will be showcased across fields such as 5G and 6G, artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and green tech.
The event will also feature over 100 sessions and 800 speakers from across the globe.
IMC 2025 will likely deepen India’s international cooperation, with delegations from Japan, Canada, the UK, Russia, Ireland, Austria and other nations expected to attend.
The event aims to reinforce India’s growing stature in the global telecom and technology landscape.
