PM Modi To Honour Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji & Inaugurate ‘Panchjanya’ In Kurukshetra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kurukshetra on Tuesday to participate in a series of significant cultural and spiritual events, marking an important moment for Haryana and the Sikh community.

The visit centres on commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the revered ninth Sikh Guru, and inaugurating ‘Panchjanya’, built in honour of Lord Krishna’s sacred conch.

At approximately 4:00 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate ‘Panchjanya’, a structure symbolically dedicated to the divine conch associated with Lord Krishna.

The project aims to enrich Kurukshetra’s cultural landscape and reinforce its spiritual legacy rooted in the Mahabharata.

Following this, the Prime Minister will visit the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, an immersive experiential centre that presents major episodes from the epic through modern installations.

The centre highlights the timeless cultural and philosophical values embedded in the Mahabharata.

Commemoration of the 350th Shaheedi Diwas

Later, PM Modi will participate in a special programme dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

As part of this ceremony, he will release a special coin and commemorative stamp honouring the Guru’s supreme sacrifice and his enduring principles of faith, freedom, and humanity. He is also expected to address the gathering.

The Central government has been observing a year-long commemoration to celebrate the Guru’s legacy, which holds immense cultural and spiritual significance for the nation.

At around 5:45 PM, the Prime Minister will visit Brahma Sarovar, one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage sites.

Associated with the divine revelation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the Sarovar holds tremendous spiritual and historical importance.

PM Modi will perform Darshan and Pooja at the holy site, further marking the solemnity of the day.

This visit aligns with the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav, which Kurukshetra is hosting from 15 November to 5 December to celebrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya is preparing for an important event, suspending the darshan of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple from Monday evening to facilitate preparations for a grand flag-hoisting ceremony atop the shrine.

Authorities are decorating the streets with lights and banners and tightening security across the city to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming celebration.

The devotional atmosphere reflects the anticipation surrounding another milestone in Ayodhya’s spiritual journey.
