Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during an election rally in Assam, orchestrated a remarkable moment by inviting participants to join in the ‘Surya Tilak’ ritual, symbolizing the radiant blessings of Lord Ram. This auspicious ceremony took place at the newly consecrated Ram Temple in Ayodhya, coinciding with the revered occasion of Ram Navami.
This year’s Ram Navami holds profound significance as it marks the first celebration since the Pran Pratistha of the Ram Lalla idol at the grand temple in Ayodhya, an event inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in January. Speaking passionately at the rally in Nalbari district, the Prime Minister emphasized the historic culmination of a 500-year wait, with Lord Ram finally enshrined in his majestic abode.
In a moment of unity and reverence, Prime Minister Modi urged rally attendees to illuminate their mobile phone torches, symbolizing the divine ‘Surya Tilak’ bestowed upon the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya. “Even through our mobile phones, we pay homage to Lord Ram, marking this sacred occasion with the rays of our devices,” he articulated, fostering a collective spirit of devotion.
Amidst the glow of mobile torchlights, the atmosphere resonated with chants of “Jai Shree Ram,” “Jai Jai Shree Ram,” “Ram Lakshman Janaki,” and “Jai Bolo Hanuman ki,” echoing the fervent devotion of the gathered crowd. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Minister Atul Bora joined in, waving their phones in unison with the chants.
Following the rally, Prime Minister Modi shared glimpses of the ‘Surya Tilak’ event on social media, capturing the essence of divine radiance. Expressing his privilege in witnessing this sacred moment, he tweeted, “This ‘Surya Tilak’ will illuminate every aspiration of a developed India with its divine energy.”
Ahead of the event, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to devotees of Lord Ram worldwide, urging them to partake in the spiritual fervor projected on massive LED screens across Ayodhya. This inclusive gesture highlighted the significance of collective devotion and shared spirituality transcending physical boundaries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in commemorating the ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony at the Assam election rally exemplifies the harmonious convergence of tradition, technology, and collective reverence, resonating with the spirit of unity and devotion.
