Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up his two-day visit to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra with a flurry of activities aimed at inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various development projects.
Beginning his tour in Kerala, Modi visited the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram. There, he inaugurated three significant space infrastructure projects totaling approximately ₹1,800 crore. Additionally, he reviewed the progress of the Gaganyaan Mission and honored four astronaut designates with ‘astronaut wings’.
In Tamil Nadu, Modi participated in the ‘Creating the Future – Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ program in Madurai. He launched two initiatives aimed at bolstering MSMEs in the Indian automotive industry.

In Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth approximately ₹17,300 crore. Projects included establishing the V.O. Chidambaranar Port as the country’s first Green Hydrogen Hub Port, launching India’s first indigenous green hydrogen fuel cell inland waterway vessel, and dedicating rail projects for the doubling of the Vanchi Maniyachchi – Nagercoil rail line.
In Maharashtra, the Prime Minister participated in a public program in Yavatmal, inaugurating and dedicating multiple development projects valued at over ₹4900 crore. This included releasing instalments under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) and distributing funds under the ‘Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi’ to farmers. Additionally, initiatives such as the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana and irrigation projects were launched, benefiting various regions in Maharashtra.
