PM Modi Says Every Crisis Tested Patience; Success Deepened Responsibility

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said his eagerness to learn has remained central to his life. He called himself a lifelong student and said continuous learning strengthens his ability to serve the nation.

Addressing the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’, PM Modi recalled his school days in Vadnagar. He said his teachers used different methods to impart lessons, while he often reached class among the earliest students.

He said every experience shaped his outlook. Those who helped him succeed taught humility, while those who defeated him taught resilience. Well-wishers encouraged him, critics prompted introspection, supporters demonstrated the power of trust, and opponents deepened his understanding of democracy.

Lessons From Every Challenge

PM Modi said every crisis tested his patience, while every success deepened his responsibility towards the nation. Each achievement strengthened his courage and determination to pursue bigger goals.

“Every crisis has been a test of my patience, every success has deepened my sense of responsibility, and every achievement has given me the courage and determination to move towards bigger goals…Today, I can say that no event in my life has been in vain. Every event has taught me something,” he said amid chants of ‘Modi-Modi’.

He recalled the Morbi floods as a lesson in relief and service. The Bhuj earthquake taught him perseverance in reconstruction. Chandrayaan taught him to rise after failure, while Covid-19 highlighted the importance of collective consciousness.

PM Modi credited the media, villages, and poor citizens with shaping his approach to policymaking. He called public trust and citizens’ hard work his greatest strength.

Thanking people for choosing him as their leader for 25 consecutive years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said their trust and the experience it created belong to the nation and every child of Mother India.
