PM Modi Reviews Projects Worth Rs 16,000 Crore At 54th PRAGATI Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 54th PRAGATI meeting on Wednesday, reviewing projects worth over ₹16,000 crore across 31 states and Union Territories and stressing timely execution, better coordination and tangible outcomes for citizens.

In a post on X on Thursday, PM Modi said the meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure projects, redeveloping railway stations into multimodal hubs, strengthening pharmaceutical manufacturing and empowering local artisans through Ekta Malls.

Held at Seva Teerth, the meeting took place under the Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) platform, which brings together the Central and state governments to resolve bottlenecks and improve infrastructure delivery and welfare schemes.

PM Modi reviewed projects related to the Railways, Ekta Malls and Bulk Drug Parks. He further directed Ministries and state governments to resolve obstacles promptly, improve coordination and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

PM Modi said PM Ekta Malls should promote local products, support artisans and expand businesses, generating jobs through links with tourism and local enterprises. He further stressed domestic pharmaceutical production at Bulk Drug Parks in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh to boost self-reliance.

The Prime Minister asked Chief Secretaries to review schemes monthly with District Magistrates, address gaps and ensure timely benefits, prioritising outcomes and accountability.

Highlighting Aspirational Districts and Blocks, PM Modi further said nearly 25 crore people had moved out of multidimensional poverty. He called for faster railway station modernisation into multimodal hubs and urged officials to resolve bottlenecks and complete projects on time.
