PM Modi Reviews Progress Of Shri Kalki Dham Construction In Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam in his Parliament chamber on Friday, where the latter presented an updated progress report on the ongoing construction of Shri Kalki Dham in Uttar Pradesh.

The builders are constructing the temple in Sambhal district and dedicating it to the future Kalki Avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, Chairman of the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, also presented the Prime Minister with an ang-vastram and prasad.

The Trust is responsible for constructing the grand temple complex, which is expected to become an important spiritual landmark.

Following the meeting, Acharya Pramod Krishnam posted on social media that he had the ‘fortune’ of presenting the progress report to the Prime Minister, along with offerings from the world’s first ‘Kalki Katha’.

He expressed gratitude to the audience and reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to completing the project.

Foundation Stone Laid in 2024

PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the Shri Kalki Dham Temple on 19 February last year.

During the ceremony, he unveiled the architectural model of the complex and spoke about the significance of the pilgrimage site, calling it a symbol of the country’s deep-rooted devotion and spiritual legacy.

The Prime Minister had said at the time that the land of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna was witnessing another historic moment with the beginning of Shri Kalki Dham’s construction.

He expressed confidence that the temple would emerge as a new centre of India’s spirituality and strengthen the nation’s cultural fabric.

PM Modi also highlighted the temple’s unique architecture, explaining that the ten garbh grihas will enshrine all ten avatars of Lord Vishnu.

He said the arrangement would offer devotees a holistic understanding of the divine forms depicted in Indian scriptures.

Reflecting on India’s recent spiritual developments, the Prime Minister had earlier noted that the foundation stone-laying ceremony for Shri Kalki Dham marked another milestone in the country’s cultural renaissance.

He referred to events such as the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the inauguration of a temple in Abu Dhabi, noting how once-unimaginable moments had now become reality.
