In Bhagalpur, Prime Minister Modi released the 19th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, continuing his government’s efforts to support farmers.
Attending the event, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke about the positive impact of the scheme on farmers’ welfare.
Moreover, the event was part of a broader push for development in Bihar.
In his address, CM Nitish Kumar highlighted that over 76,000 farmers in the state were benefitting from the instalment, calling the PM Kisan Yojana a game-changer for small farmers.
Additionally, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised PM Modi for launching the scheme, while also criticizing past Congress governments for not providing direct financial assistance to farmers.
Union Minister Chouhan stated, “This scheme is a gift for farmers, which no previous government ever gave.”
Furthermore, he emphasized the government’s understanding of farmers’ struggles.
Similarly, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of direct funds transfer to farmers.
PM Modi’s visit to Bihar and the release of the 19th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana come at a significant time, coinciding with the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, expected later this year.
This move highlights the government’s continued focus on rural welfare, particularly benefiting small-scale farmers.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana remains a central initiative in the government’s agricultural policy, directly benefitting millions of farmers across the country.
As the elections approach, the scheme is gaining political significance, strengthening PM Modi’s connection with rural voters and further boosting his government’s pro-farmer image.
The rally in Bhagalpur was a clear testament to the enthusiasm and support of the people.
The public meeting tent was packed to its capacity, and a groundswell of people outside showed their excitement and participation.
The large turnout underscored the widespread backing for PM Modi’s government and its efforts to improve the lives of farmers in the region.
