PM Modi Receives Praise From Acharya Padmasagar Surishwarji During Gujarat Visit

Jain spiritual leader Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that while many have governed Delhi, few have connected with people at a deeper level.

The remarks followed a meeting between the Prime Minister and the Acharya during PM Modi’s visit to Gujarat, where he sought the spiritual leader’s blessings.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. He toured the museum galleries and viewed rare artefacts and historical exhibits tracing the evolution of Jainism.

The Acharya commended the Prime Minister’s work, highlighting his commitment to public welfare, simplicity, and dedication. He described PM Modi’s personality as a blend of spiritual discipline and household responsibility, noting that his qualities are difficult to fully capture in words.

Reflecting on PM Modi’s leadership during challenging times, the Acharya said the Prime Minister has worked to safeguard the nation during conflicts and crises, ensuring minimal impact on citizens. He also acknowledged efforts to promote peace and unity during periods of tension.

Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj further noted that India’s global standing has improved significantly, with the country now drawing attention from around the world rather than seeking validation from the outside. He linked this progress closely to the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

Emphasising cultural revival, the Acharya remarked that people had once been disconnected from their heritage and traditions but are now rediscovering their roots. He credited PM Modi with encouraging greater awareness of India’s cultural and spiritual identity.

Concluding his remarks, the Acharya expressed his blessings for the Prime Minister and hoped he continues to fulfil public aspirations and achieve his goals.
