PM Modi Receives Grand Welcome In Somnath During Amrut Mahotsav

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm and enthusiastic welcome in Gujarat’s Somnath on Monday as thousands of people gathered to witness his roadshow during the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav celebrations marking 75 years since the inauguration of the restored Somnath Temple.

Residents lined both sides of the roads during the Prime Minister’s procession, waving the national flag and BJP flags while greeting him with cheers and slogans. Many people arrived dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere across the city.

Authorities made extensive security arrangements ahead of the Prime Minister’s high-profile visit, while organisers decorated major roads and public spaces with national and party flags.

Cultural programmes and welcome ceremonies were also organised across Somnath as devotees, artists and visitors from different parts of Gujarat arrived in large numbers to participate in the celebrations.

During the visit, PM Modi will offer prayers at the Somnath Temple and participate in religious, administrative and community-related programmes in Gir Somnath and Vadodara districts.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, he will take part in Vishesh Maha Puja, Kumbhabhishek and Dhvajarohan ceremonies during the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav.

The Prime Minister will also release a commemorative stamp and coin marking the 75th anniversary of the restored temple.

The celebrations have drawn large participation from devotees and cultural groups, with traditional dance, folk music and artistic performances taking place across the temple town.

The celebrations mark 75 years of the restored Somnath Temple and highlight its historical and spiritual importance.

The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will perform a special aerial display with six Hawk Mk-132 aircraft, while thousands of devotees, artists and dignitaries will attend the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav.
