Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a campaign rally in Hisar on Saturday, urging voters to trust the BJP for a third consecutive term with the slogan “Bharosa dil se, BJP fir se.” He emphasized the need for uninterrupted development in Haryana as the state prepares for elections on October 5.
In his half-hour speech at the Jan Ashirwad rally, Modi asserted that the Congress party would face a fate similar to that in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting internal conflicts within its leadership. He described Congress as “the most deceitful and dishonest party in the country,” criticizing its performance in Himachal Pradesh, where he claimed residents are disillusioned by unfulfilled promises.

Modi took a moment to salute the contributions of Haryana’s development leaders, particularly on the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh. He announced that commercial flights would soon operate from Hisar airport and criticized Congress for its alleged neglect of Dalits and women during its tenure, calling the party “selfish” and focused solely on votes.
He further questioned how Congress could provide stability in Haryana, citing ongoing infighting among its leaders, including a rivalry between the father and son duo in the party.
The Prime Minister also targeted Rahul Gandhi, accusing him and his family of undermining reservations for Dalits and backward communities during a visit to the US
The rally was significant for the BJP as it featured 23 candidates from six districts, including Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri, all of which are politically influential regions. Hisar’s political landscape is particularly notable, with Savitri Jindal, one of India’s richest women, contesting as an Independent candidate.
Voting in Haryana will take place on October 5, with results expected on October 8.
