PM Modi Promises Corruption-Free BJP Government In Jharkhand

PM Modi on Sunday pledged a corruption-free government for Jharkhand, while criticizing the Congress-JMM alliance for trying to divide OBCs. At a Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Bokaro, PM Modi urged marginalized communities to reject caste-based politics, rallying them under the slogan, “Ek rahenge, toh safe rahenge” (United, we will remain safe).

In his speech, PM Modi presented his “Modi ki Guarantee” to Jharkhand. He promised financial support for women managing households, job opportunities for youth without corruption, and strict action against the corrupt. Additionally, he assured residents of affordable piped cooking gas, a crackdown on infiltration, and support for solar power generation to eliminate monthly electricity bills.

“We want to make Jharkhand a top-tier state and ensure permanent jobs for its youth,” PM Modi stated, referencing the BJP government in Haryana, which now provides jobs without bribery or political favors.

To address issues affecting Dalit and OBC voters, PM Modi accused the Congress of undermining BR Ambedkar and delaying the implementation of his Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir for 70 years. Emphasizing the repeal of Article 370, Modi said, “The Congress cannot accept the removal of Article 370. For decades, Ambedkar’s Constitution was invalid in J&K.”

Modi asserted that by removing Article 370, his government has enforced Ambedkar’s Constitution in J&K, calling it a tribute to the nation’s founding father. He added that Congress, with JMM’s support, has moved to revive Article 370, seeking to undo this progress and renew instability.

Taking aim at Congress’s focus on caste census, Modi warned that Congress aims to divide the SC, ST, OBC, Tribal, and Dalit communities. “The Congress has ruled by dividing people. But since Dalits and OBCs came together for reservation, Congress has never won more than 250 seats in Parliament,” he said. He noted that Bokaro alone has 125 OBC communities and accused the Congress-JMM alliance of trying to divide them.

He urged the crowd to remember, “Ek rahenge, toh safe rahenge.”

Modi also highlighted increased Central funding to Jharkhand, stating the NDA government has allocated four times more funds than the previous UPA government. However, he alleged that the Congress-JMM state government looted these resources. “While people struggle to get basic resources, state ministers make crores from sand smuggling,” he said.

Modi assured that a BJP government in Jharkhand would hold the corrupt accountable, sending offenders to jail. “The BJP created Jharkhand, and only we will make it prosperous,” he added.

Addressing infiltration, Modi emphasized that a BJP-led government is needed to secure Jharkhand’s borders, protect its land, and safeguard its daughters. “Vote for BJP, AJSU, JD-U, and LJP to keep Jharkhand safe,” he urged.

The Prime Minister also promised development projects, including launching air services in Bokaro, and pledged that people wearing “Hawai chappal” (slippers) would soon fly in “Hawai jahaj” (planes).

Modi outlined a plan to cut electricity bills to zero through solar power generation. “We will give Rs 75,000–80,000 to households for solar power generation. Soon, you will sell your surplus power to the government,” he said.

He also pledged to restart closed facilities like the Sindri fertilizer plant, creating jobs for the youth, and announced various new projects for Jharkhand.

Voting in Jharkhand is set for November 13 and November 20, with results due on November 23, deciding the state’s new 81-member Assembly.
