PM Modi Praises BS Yediyurappa For Completing 50 Years In Public Life

Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for completing five decades in public life during the ‘Abhimanotsava’ celebration held in Chitradurga.

In his message, PM Modi described the veteran leader’s political career as an inspiring example of perseverance, sacrifice, and commitment towards serving the people.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi read out the Prime Minister’s message before a large gathering of BJP leaders, party workers, and supporters at the event. He mentioned that PM Modi holds deep respect and affection for Yediyurappa and had sent a detailed message to mark the special occasion.

The framed message was later handed over to Yediyurappa during the programme.

What PM Modi Said About Yediyurappa

In his address, PM Modi stated that Yediyurappa’s rise in politics showcased the strength of democracy in India. He said the senior BJP leader built his political journey through years of dedicated work among farmers, labourers, poor families, and underprivileged communities across Karnataka.

The Prime Minister also reflected on his long association with Yediyurappa, describing him as a humble, hardworking, and approachable leader.

PM Modi praised his contribution to strengthening the BJP in Karnataka, especially during the party’s early years when it struggled to establish a strong base in the state.

According to the Prime Minister, Yediyurappa travelled extensively across Karnataka to connect with grassroots workers and inspire confidence among party cadres at every level.

PM Modi further highlighted Yediyurappa’s achievements as Chief Minister, particularly his emphasis on agriculture, irrigation projects, village development, and welfare schemes for farmers. He noted that Yediyurappa played a pioneering role by introducing a separate agriculture budget and implementing initiatives to improve rural livelihoods.

The Prime Minister also appreciated Yediyurappa’s simple lifestyle and close bond with ordinary citizens despite occupying important political positions. He added that the former Chief Minister’s dedication towards Karnataka’s culture, traditions, and progress earned admiration from people across the state.

Concluding his message, PM Modi congratulated Yediyurappa on reaching the milestone of 50 years in public life and wished him good health and continued success in guiding future generations of political workers and public representatives.
