The Prime Minister stated that the 23rd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme would be released from Tarakeswar, benefiting farmers across the country. He also announced the launch of key agriculture-related Central government initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Agri Stack under the Digital Agriculture Mission, the National Mission on Natural Farming, and the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana.
According to him, these schemes will benefit farmers in West Bengal.
On June 21, PM Modi will attend a programme in Kolkata to mark International Yoga Day.
Following the Yoga Day event, the Prime Minister will likely participate in another programme where the Indian Navy will launch three indigenously designed warships — INS Dunagiri, INS Samshodhaka and INS Agrya.
The Prime Minister said the launch of these vessels would strengthen India’s national security capabilities and demonstrate the country’s commitment to self-reliance in the defence sector.
The visit will likely combine developmental outreach, agricultural initiatives, and strategic defence milestones during the two-day programme in West Bengal.
