PM Modi Meets Chairman Of Foxconn, Young Liu

Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday met Chairman of Taiwan based Hon Hai technology, Young Liu.  The company is also know as Foxconn, which is largest electronic maker on contract basis.

Taking to the platform ‘X’ Prime Minister Modi informed about his meeting with Young Liu. He further expressed his excitement regarding the investment plans of the company in South Indian states.

Talking about the future investments of the Company in states like, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, PM wrote, “Wonderful to meet Mr. Young Liu, the Chairman of Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn). I highlighted the wonderful opportunities India offers in futuristic sectors. We also had excellent discussions on their investment plans in India in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.”


Modi’s meeting with the Foxconn chief coincides with the company’s efforts to expand its manufacturing capabilities in India. This move aims to leverage the growing demand for premium smartphones in the world’s second-largest smartphone market.

In 2023, PM Narendra Modi met with Liu in Gandhinagar and voiced strong support for the company’s plans to expand semiconductor and chip manufacturing in India. During the three-day SemiconIndia 2023 conference, Liu reaffirmed Taiwan’s status as India’s most trusted and reliable partner.
