Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 75th birthday with a transformative public event in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, launching a series of welfare schemes with a strong focus on women’s health and empowerment.
At the heart of the event was the release of an instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).
Over one million pregnant and lactating women received direct financial support through this flagship scheme, which plays a vital role in improving maternal health outcomes across India.
Adding a personal and symbolic dimension to the celebrations, PM Modi also launched the ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
As part of this initiative, the Prime Minister also presented a sapling to a woman from a self-help group, encouraging over 10,000 women across the state to develop gardens named ‘Maa Ki Bagiya’.
These gardens aim to serve as nurturing spaces that combine community bonding, environmental care, and a tribute to motherhood, reflecting PM Modi’s belief in combining tradition with sustainability.
Health workers will organise nutrition camps and conduct awareness sessions on Ayurveda, yoga, and healthy living to support holistic wellness.
These initiatives also aim to detect and address malnutrition-related illnesses early, while actively promoting preventive care and lifestyle awareness.
In a move set to transform Madhya Pradesh’s industrial landscape, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for India’s first PM Mitra Textile Park, located in Bhainsola village.
Spread across 2,158 acres, the park will integrate the entire cotton processing chain within the state.
The government expects the project to attract major investments, create thousands of jobs, and benefit farmers by reducing processing costs and offering better market rates.
Moreover, the development marks a significant step towards making Madhya Pradesh a hub for the textile industry.
Throughout the visit, PM Modi further emphasised that birthdays should be dedicated to public service. His initiatives reflected a blend of economic progress, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development.
From strengthening healthcare to promoting industry, the Prime Minister’s visit turned his 75th birthday into a celebration of action and inclusion, setting a tone of optimism for the nation’s path towards 2047.
