In a surprise Sunday visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the PM GatiShakti Anubhuti Kendra at Bharat Mandapam. The visit marked the third anniversary of the launch of PM GatiShakti. The Anubhuti Kendra highlights key achievements and milestones of the initiative.
PM Modi praised the progress in project planning and execution across sectors under PM GatiShakti. He noted how it is driving the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by accelerating infrastructure development.
Using the National Master Plan, 156 gaps in first and last mile connectivity in major sectors like coal, steel, and ports have been identified. PM GatiShakti has also mapped 45 lakh members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and over 10 lakh Anganwadi Centres to enhance nutritional focus. The framework is guiding district-specific skill training and school mapping for better infrastructure planning.
International collaboration is also growing, with knowledge-sharing MoUs progressing with Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. PM Modi also visited the ODOP Anubhuti Kendra and commended the One District One Product initiative for promoting regional products.
