PM Modi Logs Intense; Eventful Day At India AI Impact Summit 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a demanding and tightly scheduled programme on Thursday at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.

PM Modi steered multiple high-level engagements throughout the day.

The Prime Minister commenced proceedings with the inauguration ceremony. He then joined the world leaders’ plenary session.

PM Modi subsequently conducted a series of bilateral meetings with visiting Heads of State and Government.

In the evening, PM Modi engaged in an extended strategy discussion with chief executives of leading global technology firms, including Google.

During his inaugural address, PM Modi articulated a calibrated vision for artificial intelligence.

PM Modi described AI not as a detached technological force but as an instrument shaped by human ambition, ethics and dignity.

The Prime Minister presented the M.A.N.A.V. framework as a guiding structure for responsible innovation.

The framework stands for Moral and Ethical Systems, Accountable Governance, National Sovereignty, Accessible and Inclusive AI, and Valid and Legitimate Systems.

Addressing the Leaders’ Plenary, PM Modi expressed confidence that the summit would advance a humane and responsive global AI architecture.

PM Modi observed that history demonstrates humanity’s ability to convert disruption into opportunity. He stated that the present moment offers a similar opening.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cautioned that earlier technologies deepened divides.

PM Modi asserted that AI must remain universally accessible. He stressed that the priorities of the Global South must occupy a central position in AI governance debates.

PM Modi warned that AI expands the scale of unethical conduct.He insisted that ethical safeguards must expand accordingly.

The Prime Minister urged technology corporations to balance profit with purpose.

PM Modi proposed three measures: a trusted global data framework, transparent ‘glass-box’ safety standards and the integration of human values into AI systems.

PM Modi highlighted India’s AI Mission, noting that 38,000 GPUs are operational and 24,000 more will be added within six months.

He affirmed that India offers affordable, world-class computing access to start-ups.

On the sidelines, PM Modi met leaders from the UAE, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Greece.

PM Modi discussed AI cooperation with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and economic transformation with Dick Schoof.

He also held separate talks with Guy Parmelin and Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Concluding the day at a CEOs Forum attended by over 50 global business leaders, PM Modi addressed the gathering.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated that AI must remain a shared resource dedicated to humanity’s welfare.
