Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended greetings on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, underscoring the ideals of justice, truth, and inner strength linked with Lord Parshuram.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, he said the occasion inspires people to stand firmly against injustice and remain committed to the path of truth, while invoking blessings for happiness, peace, and prosperity in every life.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his wishes, praying for the welfare of citizens and describing Lord Parshuram as a symbol of righteousness and justice.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari joined in extending greetings, highlighting the cultural importance of the occasion.
Parshuram Jayanti falls on the third day (Tritiya) of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Vaishakh.
The day marks the birth of Lord Parshuram, whom devotees regard as the sixth incarnation of Vishnu and believe descended during the Treta Yuga to eliminate injustice and restore dharma.
Devotees revere Lord Parshuram as a symbol of knowledge, penance, and immense strength, and they count him among the Ashta Chiranjivi, the immortal beings believed to exist across ages.
Devotees observe the day with prayers and rituals, remembering his role as a protector of righteousness and seeking courage, wisdom, and protection from injustice, inspired by his life and teachings.
