PM Modi Launches Rs 19,806 Crore Projects In Vav-Tharad; Boosts Infrastructure And Housing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 19,806.9 crore in Vav‑Tharad.

The initiatives, executed by central and state authorities, span energy, transport, railways, housing, and urban infrastructure.

The ceremony was attended by Bhupendra Patel, Harsh Sanghavi, and Shankar Chaudhary, along with senior officials.

The Prime Minister launched projects linked to renewable energy, including developments associated with the hybrid park in Khavda.

Authorities also advanced highway expansion, railway upgrades, and state-led works across water supply, healthcare, urban development, and tribal welfare sectors.

Additionally, PM Modi virtually presided over house-warming ceremonies for 38,949 homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) across 34 districts.

Harsh Sanghavi recalled PM Modi’s tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister, crediting his vision for expanding access to roads, water, and electricity in remote regions. He stated that these measures transformed Banaskantha and boosted agricultural income.

Sanghavi added that improved facilities have reversed migration trends, attracting residents back to villages.

Shankar Chaudhary emphasised enhanced connectivity, noting that transport and aviation initiatives would expand market access for regional produce. He also highlighted irrigation improvements through the Narmada water supply and micro-irrigation systems.

Bhupendra Patel praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, asserting that India maintained stability despite global challenges. He credited policy measures for ensuring energy availability and improving living standards.

The event marked a significant investment milestone, reinforcing balanced regional development following the creation of the Vav-Tharad district in October 2025.
