PM Modi Launches Blistering Attack On YSRCP, Vows NDA’s Resolve In Andhra Pradesh Elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing the party of betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh and fostering a ‘Gunda Raaj’ in the state. Addressing a public rally at Rajampet in Annamayya district, PM Modi criticized the YSRCP government for prioritizing the interests of mafias over the welfare of the underprivileged.

PM Modi expressed disbelief at the government’s support for mafias responsible for incidents like the Annamayya Dam break, which caused widespread devastation and loss of lives. Asserting that the countdown to the end of the YSRCP government had commenced, PM Modi vowed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would address the issue of mafias decisively.

Promising to fulfill long-pending development projects, PM Modi highlighted the BJP’s commitment to bring prosperity to Andhra Pradesh through a “double-engine government.” He criticized the lack of progress under the YSRCP regime, emphasizing the need for irrigation facilities, industries, and employment opportunities for the youth.

PM Modi stressed the potential of Rayalaseema, emphasizing its mineral wealth, cultural heritage, and tourism prospects. He assured the audience of his dedication to the region’s development and urged their support for the NDA.

Taking a swipe at the YSRCP’s alleged reluctance to cooperate with central initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Modi underscored the importance of clean water and irrigation facilities for farmers. He promised swift completion of irrigation projects under an NDA government.

PM Modi highlighted India’s growing strength under his leadership, citing instances of successful diplomatic interventions, such as the release of Indian Navy veterans from a Middle-Eastern country. He urged voters to support the NDA for a strong and prosperous India.

The upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh will witness a three-way contest between the ruling YSRCP, the Congress-led INDIA bloc, and the NDA, comprising the BJP, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and Jana Sena Party (JSP). The alliance partners have finalized seat-sharing arrangements for both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, with voting scheduled for May 13 and the results expected on June 4.
