PM Modi Honors Babasaheb Ambedkar on Birth Anniversary, Hails as Inspiration for Backward Classes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, by paying heartfelt tributes to his enduring legacy. On this significant occasion, PM Modi hailed Babasaheb Ambedkar as an inspiration for various backward-class people.

In his message shared on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed reverence, stating, “Tributes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Jayanti. Jai Bhim!”

Empowering the Marginalized

PM Modi underscored the pivotal role Babasaheb Ambedkar played in empowering marginalized communities. He highlighted Ambedkar’s belief that one’s background need not determine their destiny, emphasizing that individuals from humble beginnings can aspire and achieve greatness through hard work and determination.

Legacy of Inclusion

Reflecting on Ambedkar’s enduring legacy, PM Modi lauded his vision for an inclusive and progressive India. He emphasized how Babasaheb’s ideals continue to inspire initiatives aimed at fostering industrial growth, urbanization, and self-reliance, such as the Make in India campaign and initiatives like Mudra Yojana, Startup India, and Standup India.

As the nation celebrates Ambedkar Jayanti, PM Modi extended heartfelt tribute on behalf of the nation to Babasaheb Ambedkar. He acknowledged the profound impact of Ambedkar’s contributions, not only as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution but also as the first Law and Justice Minister of independent India.

Born into an impoverished Dalit Mahar Family in Madhya Pradesh on April 14, 1891, Babasaheb Ambedkar emerged as a prominent figure in the fight against untouchability and for the rights of marginalized sections of society. His tireless advocacy earned him the title of ‘Dalit Icon,’ symbolizing his unwavering commitment to social justice and equality.
