On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the occasion of its 86th Raising Day, commending the force’s steadfast service and dedication.
In a message posted on X, Prime Minister Modi lauded the CRPF for its unwavering dedication and relentless service to the nation, emphasizing the high standards of courage and commitment upheld by its personnel.
Meanwhile, PM Modi stated that their role in maintaining national security is indispensable, and their efforts are truly commendable.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X to extend his greetings to the CRPF and its families.
The Home Minister posted, “Greetings to CRPF personnel and their family members on their Raising Day. Since its inception, the @crpfindia has taken national security as its mission. The brave soldiers of the force have exerted all their might to accomplish this goal without ever caring for their lives and have emerged victorious every time. I bow to the martyrs of the CRPF who laid down their lives in the line of duty.”
Established as the Crown Representative’s Police on 27 June 1939, the CRPF operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is one of the oldest Central Para-military forces in India.
The 86th Raising Day however marks a significant milestone in recognizing the CRPF’s enduring commitment to internal security and its vital role in protecting the nation.
