PM Modi Highlights Spiritual Connection With Ram Setu And Surya Tilak

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon returning to India after his state visit to Sri Lanka, shared a profound spiritual experience.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed how he was blessed with the ‘darshan’ of both Ram Setu and the Surya Tilak in Ayodhya, describing it as a divine coincidence.

He wrote, “On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, I was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya. Blessed to have the Darshan of both.”

The Prime Minister further added, “Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. May His blessings always remain upon us.”

PM Modi’s Visit To Rameswaram

After concluding his three-day state visit to Sri Lanka, PM Modi arrived in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram, where he inaugurated India’s first vertical lift sea bridge, the New Pamban Bridge.

This landmark bridge spans the Palk Strait and covers a distance of 2.07 kilometers.

The Ministry of Railways lauded the New Pamban Bridge as a testament to India’s engineering excellence and visionary infrastructure development.

PM Modi will inaugurate the New Pamban Bridge to significantly improve connectivity between Rameswaram and the rest of Tamil Nadu and to enhance both passenger and freight movement across the region.

PM Modi Reflects Spiritual Significance Of Ram Setu

While in Rameswaram, PM Modi also reflected on the spiritual significance of the Ram Setu. Meanwhile, in Ayodhya, on the occasion of Ram Navami, the Ram Janmabhoomi temple witnessed a spectacular celestial event known as the ‘Surya Tilak’.

At precisely noon, a beam of sunlight illuminated the forehead of the idol of Ram Lalla, creating a natural tilak.

Visuals from Ayodhya showed priests offering prayers during the Surya Tilak, an event that is of great significance to devotees and holds deep spiritual meaning in Hinduism.

The Mythological Significance Of Ram Setu

Ram Setu, also known as Adam’s Bridge, is a 48-kilometer chain of limestone shoals connecting Rameswaram Island in India to Mannar Island in Sri Lanka. This natural formation holds immense mythological significance in Hindu tradition.

Many believe that Lord Ram built the bridge to reach Lanka during the Ramayana as part of his quest to rescue his wife, Sita, from the demon king Ravana.

The connection between Rameswaram, Ram Setu, and Ayodhya continues to hold a sacred place in the hearts of millions of Hindus, further cementing the region’s importance as a spiritual center.
