PM Modi Highlights National Pride, Swadeshi Surge And Civic Initiatives In Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared citizens’ responses to his recent festive-season letter, highlighting India’s achievements and national pride.

In the 127th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said he wrote to the nation after Diwali, celebrating the country’s progress. He added that he received enthusiastic and positive responses from people across India.

The Prime Minister praised recent military operations. “Operation Sindoor has filled every Indian with pride. This year, lamps of happiness lit even in areas once shadowed by Maoist terror. People want complete eradication of this menace that threatens their children’s future,” he said.

PM Modi also mentioned the growing excitement around the ‘GST Bachat Utsav’. Citizens expressed great enthusiasm for the initiative, he said.

He highlighted a significant rise in the use of Swadeshi products during the festive season. “Many people wrote to me sharing the Swadeshi items they purchased. This heartwarming trend reflects growing national pride and support for local businesses,” he added.

The Prime Minister reminded citizens of his appeal to reduce cooking oil usage by 10 per cent. He noted that people responded positively to this request.

PM Modi also emphasised cleanliness and sanitation efforts across the country. He commended innovative initiatives such as the Garbage Café in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, where residents exchange plastic waste for meals. He also praised Bengaluru engineer Kapil Sharma for his campaign to revitalise the city’s lakes.

“These efforts show that every citizen can contribute to a cleaner, greener, and healthier India,” the Prime Minister said.

Through his letter and radio address, PM Modi underlined citizens’ enthusiasm, civic responsibility, and commitment to national progress. He highlighted how local initiatives, mindful consumption, and active participation in social programmes strengthen India’s development journey.

The episode of Mann Ki Baat showcased the collective spirit of Indians, the pride in national achievements, and the small but meaningful steps people are taking to build a sustainable future.
