PM Modi Highlights 12 Years Of Welfare Initiatives Ahead Of Historic Milestone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday outlined the progress achieved through various welfare initiatives implemented during the past 12 years. He stated that improving the lives of economically weaker and socially disadvantaged citizens has remained a key priority of the government.

In a post shared on social media under the hashtag ‘12 Years of Garib Kalyan’, the Prime Minister said the principle of Antyodaya continues to shape policymaking.

The Prime Minister referred to several flagship schemes launched during his tenure. These include Jan Dhan Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat.

PM Modi also highlighted the growing role of technology in governance. He said digital platforms have made it easier to deliver government assistance directly to beneficiaries without unnecessary delays.

The Prime Minister noted that transparent transfer mechanisms have helped minimise leakages and improve administrative efficiency. He added that these reforms have strengthened public trust while contributing to the vision of a developed India.

Alongside the welfare achievements, PM Modi is on the verge of reaching a major political milestone.

On June 10, PM Modi is expected to become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history.

PM Modi, who first took office on May 26, 2014, will complete 4,399 uninterrupted days as Prime Minister. This will take him beyond the elected tenure record of Jawaharlal Nehru, who served 4,398 days after India’s first general elections.

The milestone follows three consecutive Lok Sabha election victories under PM Modi’s leadership.

The Bharatiya Janata Party retained power in 2014, secured a larger mandate in 2019 and returned to office again in 2024.
