PM Modi Hails Mohan Bhagwat’s Centenary Dussehra Address As Visionary And Inspiring

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat’s centenary Dussehra address, delivered at Nagpur’s Reshimbagh grounds.

Calling it ‘inspiring’, PM Modi emphasised that the address highlighted the Sangh’s historic contributions to nation-building and underscored the immense potential of Bharat to reach new heights of glory.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “An inspiring address by Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, highlighting the rich contributions of the RSS to nation-building and emphasising the innate potential of our land to attain new heights of glory, thereby benefiting our entire planet.”

The address, part of the centenary Dussehra celebrations of the RSS, outlined the vision and goals of the organisation in shaping India’s collective character.

Bhagwat urged society to create role models who could inspire citizens to contribute to the nation’s growth and asserted that for Bharat to emerge as a superpower, both individual and national character must be strengthened.

He explained that Sangh Shakhas play a vital role in instilling national identity, pride, and discipline through daily programmes, forming the bedrock of the organisation’s outreach.

Panch Parivartan for Nation-Building

During the centenary year, Bhagwat stressed that the RSS would expand its focus on Vyakti Nirman (character building) across the country.

He said the Panch Parivartan initiative drives this effort by emphasising five core values: social harmony, preservation of family values, environmental protection, selfhood and self-reliance, and adherence to legal, civic, and constitutional duties.

According to Bhagwat, these principles reflect the Sangh’s vision of nurturing responsible and value-driven citizens capable of strengthening the nation’s fabric.

Bhagwat also expressed concern over political instability in neighbouring countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, citing regime changes fuelled by widespread discontent.

He cautioned that these developments serve as a reminder for India to remain vigilant, united, and introspective in safeguarding its own stability and progress.

Reiterating the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), Bhagwat underscored the responsibility of Hindu society in upholding this idea.

“It is our duty to make Bharat prosperous and capable of contributing immensely to the world,” he said, adding that the Sangh’s mission has always been to organise Hindu society to safeguard Dharma and present a new path for humanity.

He concluded that an organised and united society, rooted in strength and self-reliance, could fulfil its responsibilities without dependence on external forces, thereby ensuring both national prosperity and global contribution.
