PM Modi Extends Maha Navami Greetings; Seeks Maa Siddhidatri’s Blessings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended Maha Navami greetings to the people of India on October 19, 2026, invoking the blessings of Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth manifestation of Goddess Durga. He wished citizens well and prayed for the fulfilment of their resolutions and aspirations on the auspicious occasion.

According to Hindu tradition, devotees worship the goddess for spiritual growth and the attainment of siddhis, which refer to spiritual powers or extraordinary accomplishments.

Maha Navami marks the ninth day of Sharad Navratri, the nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine manifestations.

The occasion holds religious significance for devotees across the country, who offer prayers, perform traditional rituals and participate in Durga Puja celebrations.

The Prime Minister’s message included a link to a devotional video on YouTube, highlighting the spiritual significance of the festival. Devotees pray to Maa Durga for prosperity, wisdom, strength and success.

This year, the Navami tithi, or lunar day, extends from October 19 into October 20. The precise timings depend on the Hindu lunar calendar and local observances.

Devotees celebrate Maha Navami by worshipping Maa Durga and seeking blessings for their families and communities.

PM Modi wished citizens well and prayed for their prosperity and happiness. He sought Maa Siddhidatri’s blessings for devotees to gain strength, fulfil their aspirations and achieve spiritual growth.
