Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his warm wishes to the nation’s citizens ahead of Holi on Sunday. Taking to the social media platform X, PM Modi expressed, “I extend my heartfelt Holi wishes to all my fellow citizens across the country.” He added, “May this traditional festival, adorned with vibrant colors of affection and unity, infuse fresh vigor and enthusiasm into all your lives.”
Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu also extended her greetings for Holi to the citizens. In her message, the President stated, “On the auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all Indians residing in India and abroad.”
Holi, a festival celebrated with equal zeal both within the country and beyond its borders, will be observed on March 25, Monday, this year. Preceded by the ceremonial lighting of bonfires known as Holika Dahan, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil through the burning of the demon Holika, the festival holds deep cultural significance.
