PM Modi Draws Crowds During Roadshow In Gujarat’s Banaskantha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received an enthusiastic welcome from large crowds during a roadshow in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district on Friday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi accompanied him during the event.

PM Modi is visiting Gujarat on October 30 and 31 to launch development projects worth over Rs 14,000 crore in Banaskantha. He will also release the 24th PM-KISAN instalment, worth around Rs 19,000 crore.

During the visit, he will dedicate the 127-acre Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre (BBBRC) at Bhildi, the country’s first centre dedicated to the Kankrej cattle breed.

The facility will advance cattle breeding, genetic improvement and reproductive technologies. According to the PMO, it could accelerate breed improvement by 10 to 20 times.

PM Modi said the centre would boost milk production, improve cattle quality, increase farmers’ incomes and help conserve indigenous breeds.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for two Banas Dairy Bio-CNG plants at Tharad and Radhanpur. The facilities will process 75 metric tonnes and 100 metric tonnes of cattle dung daily, respectively.

Other projects include extending Ahmedabad Metro towards the airport and GIFT City, widening the Ahmedabad-Mehsana Road from four to eight lanes at a cost of Rs 2,600 crore, and developing 4,030 child-friendly Anganwadi centres.

PM Modi will dedicate 521 completed projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, worth around Rs 4,950 crore, and flag off the Ahmedabad (Sabarmati)-Varanasi Express and Mehsana-Becharaji-Sabarmati MEMU services.

Later, he will travel to Ekta Nagar in Narmada district to inaugurate Bharat Parv 2026 and attend Ekta Prakash Parv as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations.
