PM Modi Criticizes Congress At Rally In Maharastra, Emphasizes Support For Dalits And Banjara Community

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a scathing critique of the Congress party on Saturday, accusing it of neglecting Dalits, tribals, the poor, and backward communities while attempting to keep them away from the mainstream.

Speaking at a public rally, Modi warned voters, “The Congress wants to keep Dalits as Dalits and the poor as poor. Urban Naxals are running the Congress, which seeks to divide the country.” He called for unity among citizens to counter the party’s alleged divisive tactics.

Allegations Against Congress

Modi also referenced recent drug seizures in Delhi, claiming that a Congress leader was the main accused in the case. He alleged, “The Congress is pushing the youth to consume drugs and wants to contest elections using money earned through the drug trade.” He urged the public to be vigilant and to unite against the Congress party’s strategies.

In his speech, Modi reflected on the Congress party’s focus on a specific family and its historical stance towards the Banjara community, which he noted has significantly contributed to India’s social fabric. “The Banjara community has played a major role in art, culture, defense, and trade,” he said.

Commitment To The Banjara Community

Modi emphasized that the Indian government bears the responsibility of restoring the pride of the Banjara community post-Independence, stating, “However, the Congress governments alienated Banjaras from mainstream society.” He highlighted the cultural contributions of the Banjara community and reassured them of the BJP-led government’s dedication to their development.

During the rally, he mentioned that while the Congress and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government blocked the launch of the Banjara Virasat Museum, the Eknath Shinde-led government has revived and completed it with an investment of Rs 700 crore.

Initiatives For Agriculture And Farmers

As polling took place in Haryana, Modi urged citizens to vote in large numbers to advance the state’s development. Earlier in the day, he visited the Jagdamba Mata Temple in Poharadevi and paid tribute to notable saints in Washim. He inaugurated the five-story Banjara Virasat Museum, celebrating the community’s rich heritage.

The Prime Minister also launched several initiatives in the agricultural and animal husbandry sectors, totaling around Rs 23,300 crore. This included the disbursement of the 18th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, amounting to approximately Rs 20,000 crore for about 9.4 crore farmers.

With this release, the total funds allocated to farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme have now reached around Rs 3.45 lakh crore. Modi also introduced the fifth installment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing about Rs 2,000 crore.

Critique Of Opposition

Modi praised the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra for providing an additional Rs 6,000 annually to farmers under the Namo Krishi Samman Nidhi. He criticized the Congress and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government for allegedly obstructing irrigation schemes, claiming they were involved in corruption while funds for farmers’ welfare were sent from the Centre.

Additionally, the Prime Minister dedicated more than 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) worth over Rs 1,920 crore, including various facilities aimed at improving post-harvest management.

He also unveiled 9,200 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of around Rs 1,300 crore, alongside innovative agricultural technologies and solar parks under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0.

During the event, he honored beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana and distributed cheques to women participants, reinforcing the government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities.
