PM Modi Congratulates ISRO On Chandrayaan-3 Historic Moon Landing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the remarkable achievement of a successful lunar landing with Chandrayaan-3 on Wednesday evening. The momentous event marked the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s southern surface, prompting PM Modi to herald it as “the beginning of a new era.”

In the wake of Chandrayaan-3’s historic touchdown on the Moon’s southern region, PM Modi remarked, “This day is one of jubilation for every Indian, resonating in every household. I too share in the pride of my fellow countrymen during this significant juncture. It indeed heralds a fresh epoch of discovery and exploration.” The Prime Minister also conveyed his accolades to the dedicated team of scientists at ISRO who steered the mission to triumphant fruition.

“The uncharted territory of the Moon’s South Pole has now been traversed, a feat never before accomplished by any nation. The persistent efforts of our scientific community have borne fruit,” emphasized the Prime Minister.

Reflecting on the transformational achievement, PM Modi shared, “Once, it was said that the Moon is a distant realm, yet today, a time will come when children will speak of the Moon as a mere tourist destination—such is the rapid stride of our advancement.”

PM Modi, presently participating in the BRICS Summit hosted in South Africa, conveyed his unwavering affinity for the Chandrayaan mission. Despite his physical presence in South Africa, he expressed, “My thoughts are firmly aligned with the Chandrayaan mission. I wholeheartedly applaud ISRO and its adept scientists for this unparalleled milestone,” conveyed the Prime Minister through his virtual address.

As jubilation reverberated throughout India in response to the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO tweeted, “Dear India, I have reached my destination, and so have you! Chandrayaan-3 has gracefully accomplished its soft landing on the Moon. Congratulations to our nation!”
