PM Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday, celebrating the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) remarkable success in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
In a message shared on his social media platform, PM Modi expressed confidence that Haryana would play a crucial role in achieving the vision of a developed India.
This victory marks the BJP’s third consecutive term in Haryana and sets a record for the party in terms of seat count, having secured 48 out of 90 seats, surpassing its previous performance in the 2019 elections.
CM Saini visited the Prime Minister’s official residence, Lok Kalyan Marg (LKM), this morning following his election triumph.
Accompanied by BJP state President Mohan Lal Badoli, Saini is likely to meet with several senior party leaders throughout the day to discuss key issues and strategies moving forward.
Among the critical topics on the agenda are the formation of the new state Cabinet and plans for an upcoming swearing-in ceremony, which the Haryana BJP is eager to hold on Dussehra – a festival symbolizing the victory of good over evil.
However, the exact date and location for this ceremony have not yet been finalized.
Reports indicate that discussions regarding the logistics of the oath-taking event will also be a focus during Saini’s meetings with the central party leadership.
In addition, a BJP legislature party meeting is likely for Thursday, during which party members will elect their leader.
At 54 years old, CM Saini, who represents the OBC community, is likely to continue in his role, having taken over the position from Manohar Lal Khattar in March, just ahead of the election campaign.
