PM Modi Calls Monsoon Session A ‘Celebration’; Hails Indian Flag On ISS & ‘Op Sindoor’

PM Narendra Modi on Monday described the Monsoon Session of Parliament as a ‘session of celebration’, citing India’s growing achievements in space and defence.

Addressing the media ahead of the session, PM Modi highlighted the recent milestone of the Indian national flag being hoisted for the first time at the International Space Station (ISS), calling it a moment of immense national pride.

“India’s flag flying at the ISS is a proud moment for every citizen. It sparked national excitement, PM Modi said, praising astronaut Subhanshu Shukla’s mission.

He noted that Parliamentarians and citizens alike take pride in this achievement, which will inspire future space missions.

PM Modi Highlights Swift Action Under Operation Sindoor

Turning to national security, PM Modi praised the Indian Armed Forces for their swift and decisive response during Operation Sindoor. He said the military eliminated terror targets in Pakistan within 22 minutes after the Pahalgam attack.

“Our forces razed the homes of the masterminds behind terrorism in just 22 minutes,” he said, underlining the precision and efficiency of the operation.

Global Recognition of ‘Made in India’ Defence Capabilities

The Prime Minister emphasised that the success of Operation Sindoor has strengthened global recognition of India’s defence capabilities. He credited indigenous weapons and defence systems for enhancing the country’s military strength.

“Indian military prowess, powered by ‘Made in India’ weapons, is attracting attention from global powers,” PM Modi noted, positioning India as an emerging force in defence manufacturing.

PM Modi urged all Members of Parliament to acknowledge Operation Sindoor as a collective victory.

“If Parliament celebrates this success with one voice, it will further boost the morale of our Armed Forces,” he said.

He said unified recognition would boost defence morale and drive innovation across sectors.

PM Modi set a tone of pride and unity by highlighting India’s space and security achievements.

His address emphasised national strength, indigenous innovation, and bipartisan support for India’s rising global stature.
