Bhagwat delivered the RSS’s annual Vijayadashami address in Nagpur as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations. He further spoke about self-awareness, Swadeshi, social harmony, family values, environmental consciousness and civic discipline.
The RSS chief said the organisation had conducted several programmes over the past year to mark its centenary, with the Vijayadashami gathering bringing the year-long activities to a close.
Bhagwat described Panch Parivartan as a long-term framework for social renewal, national progress and changes in individual behaviour. Its themes include social harmony (samarasata), family awareness (kutumb prabodhan), environmental protection, self-awareness (swa-bodh), Swadeshi and civic discipline.
The RSS chief said these principles should not be treated as a one-year initiative but adopted as a way of life.
Bhagwat urged volunteers and citizens to translate them into everyday actions. He further stressed that lasting social change requires consistent efforts to transform individual conduct.
