PM Modi Birthday: Amit Shah Highlights 25 Years Of Public Service

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year political journey at an event in Vadnagar, his birthplace. Shah launched the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Sharmishtha Lake.

The campaign will run from September 17 to October 7. It marks PM Modi’s birthday and 25 years in public life.

“Since the country became independent till today, no politician has made a record of serving for 25 years as the head of a state and as the head of the country,” Shah said.

Shah said the BJP and its National Democratic Alliance partners would take the milestone to people nationwide. He said PM Modi would complete 25 years since becoming Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7.

A Vadnagar-Varanasi service yatra was flagged off. Around 300 bikers from each city will join the 600-rider journey across seven states.

“The journey would connect Hatkeshwar Mahadev in Vadnagar with Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi,” Shah said.

Shah said the campaign would introduce PM Modi’s life and public career to younger generations. He contrasted conditions before 2014 with subsequent developments, citing corruption cases, security concerns and ‘policy paralysis’.

The Minister credited GST, Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile, direct benefit transfers, banking reforms, FDI and production-linked incentives with economic and manufacturing growth.

Shah cited infrastructure expansion, Digital India, Startup India, Article 370’s abrogation, triple talaq’s abolition, the Citizenship Amendment Act, new criminal codes and Operation Sindoor. He mentioned tribal welfare schemes, women’s opportunities, space missions, One Rank One Pension and the Chief of Defence Staff.

Recalling PM Modi’s Gujarat tenure, Shah cited 24-hour electricity, agricultural growth, Vibrant Gujarat and tribal and coastal development schemes.

“This is not only a question of convenience. Electricity brought business, education, healthcare and infrastructure to villages,” he said.
